How to get Registered for COVID Vaccine in Pakistan
The government has now
opened registration for people who are 19 years and elder in Pakistan. Everyone
can now gain the chance to register himself for the vaccine jab.
Ever since
rolling out the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive at the beginning of
February this year, Pakistan has administered over millions of doses to date.
The country has so far approved five Covid vaccines: Sinopharm, Cansina,
Sinovac, Sputnik and AstraZeneca.
The process of registration
is very simple. If someone don’t have internet connection, here is what he need
to do.
Everyone have to send his 13
digits National Identity Card numbers, without spaces and dashes, after it send
it to 1166 but you must be older than 19 years.
If someone have internet
connection he can registered himself and relatives through the NIMS website (click this link), where
everyone will be welcomed with a registration screen on which you can enter
their details. Everyone must deliver a valid contact number because you will receive
a code of registration.
After getting the
registration code on your provided phone number, visit any vaccination center and
get your first dose of the vaccine.
After
registering, you can check your registration status by sending your CNIC to
1166 after 24 hours.
Vaccination details and different age groups
According
to the government's official website pertaining to the coronavirus,
registration for citizens who are 30 years and above began on May 22. People
falling within this age group, who have registered for the vaccine, will be
intimated about the vaccination centre and date via SMS. The registration for age 19 and above for vaccine has also started.
